Values are catalogue figures for a standard PVC profile formula and can differ for other recipes. Motor power in brackets is optional.
Same batch, different cooler
The heater mixer works the same way in the EPM-H and EPM-V series; the real difference is on the cooling side. In the catalogue tables the EPM-H horizontal coolers hold 1,000–3,500 L, while the EPM-V vertical coolers hold 520–850 L. Put models with the same batch capacity from both series side by side and the difference is plain to see.
What to look at when comparing
- Batch capacity and hourly output: the smallest model that covers your line’s kg/h demand is usually the right starting point; if unsure, use the capacity calculator.
- Cooler volume: a larger cooler takes the hot batch comfortably and matters more on bigger lines.
- Motor and starting: a frequency variator (FV) gives flexibility where recipes change; a soft starter (SS) is the simple choice for fixed-speed running.
- Layout: a horizontal cooler needs more floor space; a vertical cooler offers a compact layout.

Questions about choosing a model
What is the difference between EPM-H and EPM-V?
The heater mixer works the same way in both series; the difference is the cooler. EPM-H uses a larger horizontal cooler (1,000–3,500 L), while EPM-V uses a compact vertical cooler (520–850 L) for a smaller footprint.
Which should I choose at the same batch capacity?
If floor space and cooling water allow and the line will grow, the horizontal-cooler EPM-H is the stronger fit; on mid-size lines with limited space, the vertical-cooler EPM-V stands out. The recipe and layout should be assessed together for a firm decision.
How is hourly output calculated?
Hourly output in the table is batch capacity multiplied by the catalogue range of 4–6 batches per hour. The real figure depends on the recipe and cooling time.
